Between 1998 and 2003, physical assaults increased by 71% (excludes domestic violence and sexual assault)    In 2006, 37,100 adults were physically assaulted, resulting in 15,600 being injured    Just over half (53%) of those assaults were reported to the Gardai    Between 1998 and 2006, the number of assaults, which occurred near the victim's home almost doubled (from 4.9% to 9.1%)    Four out of ten (41.5%) women say they would feel unsafe or very unsafe walking alone in...
