Here are some of our key campaigns:

Have We Bottled It? Alcohol Marketing and Young People

We put the spotlight on children and young people’s exposure to alcohol marketing. Alcohol targets young people and influences their drinking. For example, 1 in 3 teens have received unsolicited alcohol ads on their social networking pages. Follow this link for further information on this campaign.

Keeping it in The Family

Parental alcohol problems serious harm to children. 1 in 11 Irish children say their parent’s drinking has a negative effect on their lives – that works out at about 109,684 children. Alcohol Action Ireland is campaigning to have the rights and needs of these children recognised and met. Follow this link for further information on this campaign.

Tackling Ireland’s Financial Hangover – Ending Alcohol at “Pocket Money” Prices

We are speaking to politicians and media about the need to tackle alcohol pricing in Ireland, as it is recognised as one of the most effective ways of reducing alcohol-related harm, which in Ireland is an estimated €3.7 billion each year in financial terms alone.
