Alcohol Strategy Information Meeting

  • Post category:News

A public meeting to explore the issues around alcohol misuse in society and ways to address it will take place in Dun Laoghaire on Tuesday, April 29.

The meeting is being organised by Southside Partnership Training Network and the Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Drugs and Alcohol Task Force and takes place from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Mounttown Community Facility.

Dr Shane Butler, Trinity College Dublin, will be among the expert speakers on the night and key issues addressed will include:

  • Why is society so slow to take action to reduce alcohol-related harms?
  • Is the problem one of central, political leadership, or is it that the public and the community don’t want change?
  • Can the community – and you – bring about a new demand for change at local levels?
