Children affected by parental alcohol problems was the theme of a presentation carried out by Alcohol Action Ireland Director Fiona Ryan at the recent Alcohol Focus Scotland conference: Alcohol’s harm to others – Beyond the drinker.
Around 100 delegates attended the June 3 conference in Edinburgh to hear from expert speakers and workshop leaders on the impact of excessive drinking on people other than the drinker, with a particular focus on children and young people.
