Alcohol Action Ireland: Senior Administrator

Alcohol Action Ireland, the national charity for alcohol-related issues, is looking for a Senior Administrator with financial management skills to work 2.5 or 3 days a week in our Dublin city centre office. To find out more about who we are and what we do, go to www.alcoholireland.ie

Salary for the post will range between €14k and €17k depending on the skills and experience of the applicant (this would be the equivalent of a full-time job in the salary range of €28k to €34k). Working hours could be divided so that they could be spread across five mornings, for example.

Start date: As soon as possible.

Essential

  • Office administration experience – a   minimum of two years
  • Experience of financial and budget management, including monthly management accounts and annual budgets
  • Experience of the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint (Experience in Microsoft Project Manager would be desirable)
  • Excellent, fluent spoken and written English

Desirable

  • Experience of the TAS financial management system or similar
  • Previous experience in NGO or charity
  • Event management i.e. organising conferences and seminars
  • Good telephone manner, since although we are not a direct service provider we do receive calls from individuals seeking help
  • Experience of working for a board i.e. taking minutes etc

Qualities

  • Capacity to work well with a team but capable of taking responsibility for own work
  • A sense of humour
