Alcohol Action Ireland is currently funded through a mix of state and non-state funding, including charitable foundations and individual donations.
Our principal funder is currently the Health Service Executive (HSE) with additional funding sourced, periodically, from the Department of Health and their annual National Lottery Grants allocation. Alcohol Action Ireland was previously a recipient of funding through The One Foundation.
The Health Service Executive (HSE) is responsible for providing Health and Personal Social Services for everyone living in the Republic of Ireland.
The HSE delivers thousands of different health and social services in hospitals and communities across the country, 24 hours a day.
The One Foundation is a private philanthropic fund based in Dublin, Ireland. Its aim is to significantly improve the life chances of disadvantaged children and young people in Ireland and Vietnam.
By supporting non-profit organisations, it addresses three key social issues that affect young people today:
- Poverty & Disadvantage
- Mental Health
- Integration of Minorities
