Alcohol Conference – The Impact on Health & Society takes place on Monday 10th November 2014 in the Mullingar Park Hotel from 10am-4.25pm (registration from 9am). The Conference has been organised by the Midland Regional Drug & Alcohol Task Force and HSE CADS (Community, Alcohol and Drug Service) Midland.

The aim of the Alcohol Conference is to bring together interested agencies and individuals who work in the field of addiction to engage in meaningful learning and discussion regarding the impact of Alcohol use on the individual and society.

Applications to attend the Conference will be accepted from Community, Voluntary and Statutory agencies and individuals working in the area of addiction within the midland region (Longford, Westmeath, Laois and Offaly). Applications will also be accepted from medical and non medical professionals with an interest in this area.

Those wishing to attend the Conference must complete a Conference booking form (please see attached) and submit it to Ms Josephine Lee, MRDATF, Health Centre, Coosan Road, Athlone, Co Westmeath or email: mrdatf@hse.ie. Closing date for receipt of applications is Wednesday the 5th November 2014. Advanced booking is recommended due to current interest in this area.
