UK government to back Scottish minimum alcohol pricing in courts

THE UK government will support the Scottish Government when its minimum alcohol pricing legislation is challenged in the courts, according to the Advocate General for Scotland.

Ambulance calls up 30% last night

There was a 30 per cent increase in emergency ambulance calls in Dublin city centre last night. The spike in calls coincided with Arthur’s Day events which saw thousands of revellers in pubs across the city.
