The seventh “Let’s Talk About Drugs” National Media Awards was recently launched by Minister of State Alex White – with the help of last year’s winners from three secondary schools, who all created award-winning media features around drugs and alcohol.
This year, students all over the country are being asked to tackle themes around alcohol and sport or weed and health.
The students then research their chosen theme, creating a piece of original content in one of five formats: newspaper article; video or animated feature; audio recording; cartoon or poster.
The overall winner scoops €1,000 and all categories winners will have their features either published or broadcast in the media.
